'Agriculture is life' for Liberian United Methodists

MONROVIA, Liberia (UMNS) — At the Liberia Conference’s agricultural center, hundreds of acres of overgrown land surround buildings in various stages of ruin. The Rev. Interfaith effort on North Carolina rebuild

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Islamic Relief USA and the United Methodist North Carolina Conference are working together on an extensive recovery project for volunteers to rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Matthew last year in the Tarboro, North Carolina, area.

Communicating value of spiritual care

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Learning to communicate the needs of ministry and the value of spiritual care was the focus of a Leadership Development Return on Investment workshop at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. The event was hosted by the United Methodist Endorsing Agency, part of the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry.

Global Ministries plans Day of Health

ATLANTA — The United Methodist Church has committed to promoting abundant health around the world. To further that aim, the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries and the North Georgia Conference have planned the “UMC Day of Health” on Sept. 15 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
