Urban farmers bless Flint
FLINT, Mich. – Asbury United Methodist Church is sowing seeds of trust among its neighbors who still are suffering from the effects of lead contamination. “Asbury’s response to the water situation began to move from crisis mode to a longer-term perspective. We moved from community gardeners to farmers. We moved from teachers to health partners,” said the Rev. Tommy McDoniel, Asbury’s pastor. Kay DeMoss reports.

Former medical examiner heads to seminary
HOPKINTON, N.H. — Dr. Thomas Andrew, former chief medical examiner in New Hampshire and a deacon candidate, will start classes at United Theological Seminary in January 2018. He did not retire from the medical examiner role because he was overwhelmed. It was part of his plan from the start. Beth DiCocco reports.
