Expect lightning

The Tampa Bay site has inspired the worship committee to focus services onstories Mark told about Jesus by the seaside. The Tampa area has the most lightning strikes of any area in the U.S., so the opening service will use strobe lights and video to feature the storms on the Sea of Galille.

Delegates may worry that the stormy weather will preview coming stormy legislative sessions, but they should also remember that the disciples had to wake Jesus up to calm the sea. I trust delegates will invoke the presence of Jesus to calm some stormy legislative committee and plenary sessions.
