Faith leaders advocate for peace, reunification of Koreas
SEOUL, South Korea (UM News) — The Fourth Roundtable for Peace on the Korean Peninsula, hosted by the Korean Methodist Church, The United Methodist Church and the World Methodist Council, featured special lectures and peace ministry reports on the status of reunification. The Roundtable also adopted a statement pledging to seek lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula. The Rev. Thomas Kim reports.

Church center celebrates centennial
LANSING, Mich. — The congregation at Lansing Central United Methodist Church is celebrating 100 years of its Temple House as a community hub. The building has a commercial kitchen, fellowship hall, gymnasium and even a bowling alley. The church has had a series of centennial celebrations, including an open house with guided tours. NEW YORK — More than 40 nursing and medical scholarships from United Women of Faith are helping to provide better care for patients in India. Mission donors reach clinic funding goal
PITTSBURGH — The Nyadire Connection has been refurbishing rural medical clinics surrounding The United Methodist Church’s Nyadire Mission for the past decade. Earlier this year, the nonprofit announced a “moon shot” goal to raise $250,000 to enable the completion of the sixth and final clinic. Thanks to the support of individual donors and Pittsburgh-area network churches, the mission has been accomplished.
