Following the decision of the General Conference not to modify paragraph 161.F of the Book of Discipline, which relates to matters of Human Sexuality, supporters of a more inclusive church gathered around the table in the center of the plenary floor. Candles were burning. Crackers symbolizing Communion elements were on the worship table. In song and word the several hundred witnesses called for a more open church.
