Conference signals its plans post-separation

The Northwest Texas Conference passed a nonbinding resolution indicating aspirations to join a new traditionalist Methodist church under a proposed protocol for separation.

The United Methodist Southeastern Jurisdiction approved the union of two annual conferences, and the Western Jurisdiction looked at the role of bishops.

Annual conferences plan online, hybrid events

Some annual conferences will do a portion of their 2021 meetings in person as the coronavirus threat subsides. Resolutions on issues including sexuality and race will be considered.
