Social Principles revision

One of the pieces of legislation calls for “the General Board of Church and Society to lead and initiate a process to revise the Social Principles…with the goal of making them more succinct, theologically founded and globally relevant.”

By a two-thirds vote of the delegates the revision effort, including composition of the study committee, was referred to the General Council on Strategy and Oversight.

(General Board of Church and Society General Secretary Jim Winkler offers background; Jim Harnish moved referral)
