Children lead malaria fight
COLUMBIA, S.C. (UMNS) – Children are leading an Imagine No Malaria initiative in South Carolina, said the Rev. Jeri Katherine Warden Sipes, Imagine No Malaria field coordinator for the conference. Ferrum holds Stop Hunger Now event
FERRUM, Va. (UMNS) – More than 500 students at United Methodist-related Ferrum College joined with hundreds of local church and community members Aug. 30 to package nutritious meals for Stop Hunger Now, a denominational partner. The 55,512 meals packaged during the event will be shipped to the Philippines this week.

HOUSTON (UMNS) – A United Methodist immigration law expert will speak at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church here on Sept. 19. Charles Foster’s address is titled “Where There’s No Path: Re-imagining Immigration Reform.” It’s sponsored by Project CURATE in Houston. Foster leads the Greater Houston Partnership Task Force on Immigration Reform.
