Mobilizing the physically challenged in Liberia
GANTA, Liberia (UMNS) — Hand-cranked transportation devices are invaluable in areas where the terrain is too uneven for traditional wheelchairs. Liberia’s United Methodist Women distributed $54,000 worth of them. Julu Swen reports.

Being 'A Light of Peace' on Dec. 3, 10
GENEVA (WCC) — The World Council of Churches invites people across the globe to extend “A Light of Peace” for the Korean Peninsula and for a world free from nuclear weapons. Churches are being asked to light candles during special prayers and worship services for two Sundays, Dec. 3 and 10. Throughout the campaign, the WCC will issue special prayers, social media photos and news and video releases.
