Megachurch weighs leaving denomination
HOUSTON (UMNS) — The largest predominantly African-American United Methodist Church is spending July in discussion, fasting and prayer over whether to leave the denomination. Windsor Village United Methodist, at 18,000 members one of the denomination's very largest churches regardless of racial makeup, cites "turmoil" in The United Methodist Church as a main concern. Translated Way Forward coming July 30
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) — Expect to see the Commission on a Way Forward’s proposals in weeks — not months. The organizers of General Conference, the denomination’s top lawmaking assembly, announced that they expect the needed translation work to be completed by July 30. Heather Hahn reports.

Ubuntu journey connects United Methodist Women
DIECKE, Guinea (UMNS) — United Methodist Women of Liberia traveled to Guinea recently to implement one of their annual ministries. The four-day Ubuntu Missionary Journey was intended to revive the relationship between the Diecke United Methodist Women and their Liberian counterparts. “We are here to reawaken their spirit of ministry to the community and its people,” said Muriel V. New primary school enriches Angola village
