100 Years of Camp Glisson

United Methodist Camp Glisson in North Georgia is celebrating 100 years of woods, worship and hikes to the waterfall. To mark a century of church camp, Glisson is hosting reunions throughout 2025. Campers can come back, connect with friends and sing all the old favorite camp songs again.

Visit the Camp Glisson website for more information on the 100 year reunions and to find out about opportunities to visit camp. There’s also a Camp Glisson alumni group on Facebook, and the camp store is offering a book with photos from 100 years of camp.

Cousins recall the days after Katrina

Seven young men gathered at Hartzell Mt. Zion United Methodist Church to talk about what it was like to live through the hurricane and the devastation left behind.
