Athanasius Mphuru, is recognized as a "pioneer staff member" during the March 23, 2013 20th anniversary celebration of Africa University. Mphuru is also professor of entomology and the former deputy vice chancellor.

This slideshow used Adobe Flash, which was discontinued in 2020.
